About this plugin
Audio Blast's Blast Delay is a feature-rich delay plugin that distinguishes itself through an integrated parameter sequencer, allowing producers to program independent motion sequences for each control at varying speeds. This architecture transforms the delay from a static effect into a dynamic performance tool, enabling complex, evolving textures that would require manual automation or multiple instances elsewhere.
The core delay engine provides solid technical fundamentals. Sync modes toggle between millisecond precision and host-tempo synchronization spanning 1 Bar to 1/128 note values. A unified filter parameter transitions seamlessly from low-pass ( -100 to 0) through to high-pass ( 0 to 100), offering meaningful tonal shaping without requiring additional processing. Ping-pong routing, feedback control, and a polarity invert function expand the sonic palette, particularly when stacking high feedback values at short delay times.

Notable features include a freeze button that loops the delay buffer while muting new input, and a pitch parameter that emulates vintage tape delay artifacts during time modulation. These tools appeal to electronic producers and sound designers seeking vintage character alongside modern workflow integration.
Blast Delay is well-suited for producers comfortable working within sequenced parameter automation who value cohesive, recoverable presets. The sequencer's real-time tweaking capacity positions it effectively in live or performance contexts. Against competitors offering similar core delay functionality, the built-in sequencing represents genuine added value rather than conventional feature padding, though experienced users may find its parametric depth somewhat limited compared to more specialized delay instruments.
