Audiority's Grindstein is a meticulously modeled plugin suite designed to capture the aggressive character of modern death metal signal chains. Developed in close collaboration with Klirrton Manufaktur and Kristian Kohle of Kohlekeller Studio, it authentically reproduces their boutique preamp alongside complementary processing tools that define contemporary extreme metal production.

The core architecture centers on two independently mixable channels: Chainsaw delivers the classic Swedish HM2 character and abrasive high-end aggression, while Bottomshaker provides modern, controlled low-end weight without sacrificing clarity. This dual-channel approach allows producers to layer complementary tonal characteristics rather than compromise on a single voice. The inclusion of a Lichtbringer-derived boost circuit provides additional gain staging flexibility, while the phase switch introduces creative out-of-phase possibilities for enhanced grind textures.

Signal conditioning is handled through the Schnauze noise gate, essential for managing the inherent noise floor of aggressive distortion, and the Fleisch 5-band EQ with carefully calibrated boost and cut frequencies that target the specific resonances of extreme metal tones. Additional 3-band and 2-band EQ sections on the respective channels offer precise tonal shaping. The integrated cabinet simulator with seven curated speaker combinations, selected by Kohle himself, provides convincing speaker load characteristics without requiring external convolution.
