About this plugin
ADverb2 is Audio Damage's refined iteration of their venerable Reverence plate reverb algorithm, now available across major plugin platforms with significantly extended decay times. The plugin implements a vintage digital plate emulation that prioritizes clarity and computational efficiency without sacrificing sonic character.
The core reverb engine operates with straightforward controls: pre-delay, decay time, and size parameters establish the foundational spatial characteristics. The extensive filtering section - comprising multiple EQ stages - allows precise shaping of the reverb tail, enabling users to brighten, darken, or otherwise contour the high-frequency behavior that typically defines plate character in mixing contexts.

What distinguishes ADverb2 among comparable reverb tools is its demonstrably low CPU footprint paired with transparent audio quality. The optimized DSP design reflects Audio Damage's philosophy of avoiding unnecessary processing overhead while maintaining sonic fidelity. This combination proves particularly valuable in dense mixing sessions or live performance scenarios where processor resources remain constrained.
The interface adopts a logical, vintage-inspired aesthetic implemented through vector graphics, ensuring scalability and future compatibility. The XML-based preset manager facilitates workflow efficiency across platforms, with seamless handoff capability between iOS and desktop versions - a practical advantage for producers working across multiple devices.
ADverb2 serves experienced engineers seeking a reliable, CPU-friendly reverb with genuine tonal character. It occupies a distinct position among digital plate emulations by avoiding both artificial clarity and heavy processing artifacts, making it suitable for sources ranging from drums to vocals to full mixes requiring spatial depth without coloration.
