About this plugin
Audified's TriMod collapses three foundational modulation effects - flanger, chorus, and phaser - into a single-knob interface that prioritizes sonic immediacy without sacrificing depth. Rather than presenting these effects as discrete selections, TriMod employs a unified algorithm that transitions smoothly between characteristic territories, mapping the tonal evolution from subtle spatial enhancement through pronounced vintage modulation to darker, more textured effects.
The design philosophy proves pragmatic. A gentle 0-20% setting introduces spaciousness with restrained modulation speed and depth, suitable for adding dimension without obvious processing. The 20-40% range accelerates movement and intensity, drawing inspiration from classic EHX designs that defined grunge and alternative rock. Beyond 40%, the character shifts toward denser flanger textures, suitable for dramatic lead work or experimental material.

What distinguishes TriMod from traditional modulation chains is its engineering foundation. Audified built these algorithms from extensive experience emulating high-end analog hardware, resulting in a more nuanced tonal palette than typical software implementations. The seamless blending between effect types prevents jarring transitions and maintains musical coherence across the knob's sweep.
TriMod addresses a genuine workflow problem: guitarists, keyboardists, and producers frequently layer multiple modulation effects or waste time auditioning plugin combinations. This tool eliminates that friction. It works equally well on guitars, synthesizers, vocals, and bass, making it valuable across instrument types. For engineers seeking straightforward modulation without parameter paralysis, TriMod delivers both simplicity and sonic sophistication in a format that respects creative momentum.
