About this plugin
Delay Eternity represents Arturia's first original effects design, and it succeeds by treating delay not as a simple time-based processor but as a creative instrument unto itself. The plugin features dual independent delay lines with separate feedback paths, allowing for complex polyrhythmic interactions and layered textures that transcend conventional delay behavior. Time-processing modes fundamentally alter how the plugin responds to incoming audio, moving beyond standard feedback control to enable more nuanced temporal manipulation.
What sets Delay Eternity apart from competing delay plugins is its integrated signal degradation architecture. A bitcrusher and multi-mode filter sit directly in the feedback loop, letting you progressively degrade or sculpt returning signals into granular textures, spectral drones, or heavily processed vocal effects. This design choice acknowledges that interesting delay work rarely stops at pure repetition; producers often need to transform and mutate echoes in real time.

The modulation capabilities are substantial, providing the kind of movement and animation that separates utilitarian delay from inspiring creative tools. The preset library demonstrates genuine thought about sonic applications rather than serving as mere reference points.
Delay Eternity appeals most to electronic and experimental producers who view effects as compositional instruments rather than mixing utilities. It's equally valuable for engineers working with vocals or individual instruments who need something more engaging than stock delay plugins. While not essential for traditional mixing tasks, it fills a specific niche where delay becomes an instrument - comparable in ambition to plugins like Valhalla's offerings or Soundtoys' effect suite, though with a distinctly modern, digital-first character that prioritizes experimentation over emulation.
