About this plugin
Marble White AutoWah stands as a faithful digital recreation of a classic BJF rackmount design, condensed into plugin form with impressive fidelity. The effect tracks input dynamics and applies a resonant filter sweep that follows your playing intensity, delivering the expressive wah textures traditionally associated with pedal-based effects without requiring physical foot control.
The plugin's core strength lies in its accuracy and responsiveness. The fast tracking minimizes latency between note attack and filter response, which proves critical for maintaining natural feel across articulate playing styles. The four primary controls - Sensitivity, Bias, Resonance, and Decay - provide meaningful sonic adjustment without overwhelming complexity. The Decay parameter deserves particular attention, as it fundamentally shapes the character by controlling filter frequency fall speed. Short decay settings produce the snappy, percussive response of a traditional auto wah, while extended decay settings create a more immersive, drenching effect that sustains across sustained notes.

Beyond its intended application on electric guitar, Marble White performs exceptionally on bass, where its articulate tracking preserves low-end definition while adding movement. The plugin also translates well to keyboard instruments, adding textural interest to electric piano and synth sources.
Marble White occupies a pragmatic position in the auto wah landscape, prioritizing sonic authenticity and controlled functionality rather than experimental processing. It serves engineers and players seeking a reliable, musically transparent auto wah effect that responds predictably across diverse sources and playing dynamics. For those unable to integrate hardware pedals into their workflow, this plugin represents a legitimate alternative with genuine character.
