About this plugin
Acon Digital's Mix & Mastering Suite represents a competent, transparent approach to the essential processing chain. This upgrade consolidates six purposefully designed plug-ins - Dynamics, Multiband Dynamics, Equalize, Limit, Verberate, and Dither - into a cohesive toolkit that prioritizes signal integrity across your mix and master.
The Equalize module stands out for its granular control, allowing independent adjustment of slope, center frequency, and gain across bands. The ability to shift between minimum phase, linear phase, or mixed phase modes addresses the perennial trade-off between latency and phase coherence. The mixed phase option, which permits freely adjustable latency between 5 and 120 milliseconds while minimizing pre-ringing artifacts, demonstrates thoughtful engineering for practical studio scenarios.

The Dynamics section combines compression, expansion, and gating functions with up to 4x oversampling and configurable look-ahead from 0 to 30 milliseconds. The inclusion of a sidechain equalizer with multiple filter types adds useful flexibility for more surgical processing moves. Multiband Dynamics extends this approach across frequency ranges, essential for controlling problematic spectral energy without affecting the full-bandwidth character.
This suite appeals primarily to mix engineers and mastering specialists seeking reliable, phase-transparent processing without unnecessary coloration. While not aimed at producers chasing character or vintage tonal colorations, the tools excel at corrective work and transparent dynamic control. For those already invested in Verberate 2, this upgrade provides a legitimate path toward a more complete mixing environment with measurable improvements in workflow integration and processing capability.
