About this plugin
Acon Digital's Mix & Mastering Suite represents a thoughtful expansion of their Limit compressor, adding five complementary processors that address the complete signal chain from mixing through mastering delivery. This upgrade provides existing Limit owners with a cohesive toolkit that emphasizes transparency and surgical control across dynamics, frequency shaping, spatial processing, and dithering.
The suite's centerpiece remains precise dynamic control via the Dynamics module, which combines compression, expansion, and gating with up to 4x oversampling to minimize distortion artifacts. The parallel Multiband Dynamics processor extends this capability across frequency bands, critical for addressing problematic resonances without affecting the entire spectrum. Equalize stands apart with its parametric approach that offers adjustable filter slopes from 3 to 120 dB per octave, alongside a unique mixed-phase mode that balances linear-phase benefits against pre-ringing artifacts by allowing freely adjustable latency between 5 and 120 milliseconds.

Verberate handles spatial dimension with presumably sophisticated reverb processing, while Dither ensures clean headroom management during final bit-depth reduction. Full support for VST, VST3, AAX, and AU formats ensures compatibility across professional workflows on both macOS and Windows platforms.
This collection appeals primarily to mastering engineers and serious mix engineers who demand transparent, low-distortion processing without coloration. The parametric depth of Equalize and the phase-management options in particular distinguish this suite from more consumer-oriented alternatives. For Limit owners seeking integrated mastering tools with genuine technical sophistication, this upgrade offers genuine workflow value.
