About this plugin
Acon Digital's Mix & Mastering Suite Upgrade builds upon the already-capable Equalize parametric EQ, adding five essential processors that address the full signal chain from tracking through mastering. The upgrade path makes sense for existing Equalize users seeking a more complete toolkit without repurchasing the core EQ engine.
The suite's real strength lies in its technical sophistication and transparency. The Dynamics processor distinguishes itself through intelligent band-limiting and look-ahead capabilities up to 30ms, reducing distortion artifacts that plague traditional compressors at extreme settings. The Multiband Dynamics extends this concept across frequency ranges, essential for controlling problematic sources without affecting the entire spectrum. The Equalize module remains a standout, offering rare control over filter slopes from 3dB to 120dB per octave across three phase modes - including a unique mixed-phase option that balances linear-phase accuracy against pre-ringing artifacts.

The Limit and Verberate processors round out essential mastering functions, while the Dither module handles bit-depth reduction with proper signal conditioning. Across VST, VST3, AAX, and AU formats, the suite maintains transparent processing with minimal latency options.
This collection appeals to engineers and mastering specialists who demand precise, artifact-free processing. It's particularly valuable for those already invested in the Equalize ecosystem or those requiring surgical control over compression and EQ characteristics. The technical implementation reflects professional-grade design rather than trendy character processing, positioning it as a utilitarian workhorse rather than a coloration tool. For transparency-focused workflows, the upgrade represents solid value.
