About this plugin
Acon Digital's Mix & Mastering Suite addresses a fundamental challenge in professional audio: delivering surgical precision without introducing artifacts or coloration. This six-plugin collection - Dynamics, Multiband Dynamics, Equalize, Limit, Verberate, and Dither - prioritizes signal integrity across the entire signal chain, making it particularly valuable for mastering work where transparency is non-negotiable.
The Equalize plugin stands out for its flexibility. Unlike fixed-slope parametric EQs, each band allows independent slope adjustment from 3 to 120 dB per octave, enabling both gentle shelving and surgical notching from a single interface. The mixed phase mode deserves particular attention: it addresses linear phase's pre-ringing problem by allowing users to freely set latency between 5 and 120 milliseconds while preserving phase coherence. This represents a practical solution to a problem that has frustrated engineers for years.

The Dynamics processor incorporates sophisticated design choices - band-limited gain reduction, optional 4x oversampling, and a comprehensive integrated sidechain EQ - that prioritize clean operation at extreme settings. The look-ahead range of 0 to 30 milliseconds provides sufficient flexibility for both transparent compression and creative dynamics processing.
This suite suits mastering engineers, mix engineers seeking transparent processing tools, and producers who value technical sophistication without unnecessary interface complexity. The plugin architecture supports VST, VST3, AAX, and AU across both platforms, ensuring broad compatibility. While not designed for character or color, the Mix & Mastering Suite's strength lies in clinical precision and artifact-free operation - essential qualities for serious professional work.
