About this plugin
Acon Digital's Post Production Suite consolidates three essential tools for dialogue, restoration, and mastering work into a single purchase, making it a practical choice for facilities handling high-volume post work. At its core sits Acoustica 7 Premium Edition, a full-featured DAW that distinguishes itself through competent spectral editing and multitrack stem separation powered by Spleeter AI technology. The remix engine effectively splits mixed material into up to five discrete stems in real time, with the option to auto-generate separate tracks from a complete mix - a workflow that saves considerable manual editing time.
What separates this suite from basic editing software is its dialogue-focused toolkit. The Extract Dialogue processor automatically isolates and removes background noise from speech, while three companion tools address specific problem categories: DeWind for wind noise, DeRustle for fabric and handling artifacts, and DeBuzz for electrical hum and RF interference. These processors employ machine learning algorithms that preserve intelligibility while aggressively cleaning contaminated recordings, a critical advantage in documentary and interview-heavy production.

The included Acon plugins - Restoration Suite 2, Verberate 2, Mastering Suite, and the Transfer utility for Pro Tools integration - represent solid mid-tier tools rather than industry-leading processors. They competently handle standard correction and enhancement tasks without the surgical precision or sonic character of specialized mastering tools. Recent Apple Silicon support expands platform compatibility effectively.
This suite justifies its cost for post houses and independent producers managing consistent dialogue cleanup and stem-based remix work. It's less compelling for mixing-focused engineers seeking premium mastering-grade processing.
