About this plugin
Drum Vault TrigPak is a curated sample expansion for XLN Audio's Addictive Trigger, delivering 18 professionally recorded drum kit pieces sourced from the company's extensive library. The collection focuses on versatility rather than novelty, assembling a practical toolkit of snares, kicks, and complete tom sets alongside supplementary percussion elements like body and tambourine samples.
The sonic character leans toward contemporary production standards. The snare selection spans classic designs including a Gretsch modded unit and a 1968 Ludwig Acrolite, each captured with enough clarity to layer effectively without fighting for space in a mix. The kick selection demonstrates similar breadth, ranging from the tight punch of a Premier Gen-X to the deeper resonance of larger formats like the 24x18" Pork Pie. Multiple tom kits provide options for both vintage-styled and modern sonics, with four Pork Pie pieces and Yamaha alternatives offering flexibility across different production contexts.

What distinguishes Drum Vault from generic sample packs is its integration with Addictive Trigger's processing capabilities. Each kit piece arrives with custom presets that have been shaped specifically for the plugin's layering and sound-design features, meaning users gain both the samples and thoughtful starting points for further manipulation.
This expansion suits producers working in genres where layered, processed drums are standard practice - hip hop, electronic music, and contemporary pop production particularly benefit from the collection's emphasis on punchiness and dimensional depth. For Addictive Trigger users seeking to expand beyond the core library without diving into endless sample curation, Drum Vault represents a time-efficient investment that addresses common mixing demands.
