About this plugin
The Sound Design Suite represents a comprehensive collection of 40 plugins developed with input from Scott Gershin and Charles Deenen, two practitioners with extensive credits in film and interactive audio. The bundle consolidates Waves' most essential mixing and sound manipulation tools into a single package, spanning dynamics processing, equalization, modulation, and specialized sound design utilities.
The suite's strength lies in its breadth rather than depth. Compression options range from transparent modern tools like the H-Comp to colored vintage emulations, while EQ choices include both traditional parametric designs and linear-phase processors suited to critical mastering work. For time and pitch manipulation, UltraPitch and SoundShifter provide professional-grade shifting without the artifacts common in budget alternatives. The Morphoder stands out as a distinctive creative tool, enabling spectral morphing between two audio sources.

Specialized utilities justify the collection for sound design applications. Doppler creates realistic motion effects, MondoMod handles complex modulation tasks, and LoAir generates sub-bass content through harmonic generation rather than synthesis. The inclusion of guitar amp modeling through GTR3 expands the suite's reach into instrument processing.
This collection suits mixing engineers seeking a reliable, established workflow toolkit more than producers exploring cutting-edge sound design. While individual plugins remain industry standards, the suite lacks the forward-thinking experimental tools or modern algorithmic processors found in competing collections. For professionals maintaining established sessions or studios requiring broad compatibility, it remains a dependable choice.
