The eMotion LV1 80-Channel Expansion is a software upgrade that transforms Waves' LV1 64-channel digital console into a significantly more capable mixing platform. Rather than introducing new processing algorithms or sonic character, this expansion addresses a fundamental operational limitation: channel count and routing flexibility.

For engineers working large-format live sound reinforcement or complex studio sessions, the expansion adds 16 stereo channels (expandable to 160 discrete inputs through mono/stereo configuration), pushing the total channel capacity to 80. Equally important is the addition of eight buses, bringing the total bus count to 52. These extra buses function flexibly as either audio groups or monitor auxes, allowing engineers to configure up to 24 monitor sends or 16 mix groups depending on their workflow requirements.

The expansion maintains LV1's core strength: intuitive touchscreen navigation paired with professional-grade mixing tools. Those already invested in the LV1 ecosystem will find the upgrade seamless, requiring only a software license activation. There's no hardware modification necessary.

This expansion serves primarily two audiences. FOH engineers tackling festivals, arena productions, and corporate events benefit from the increased channel density and monitor flexibility.
