About this plugin
The Cinematic Loops expansion for VPS Avenger positions itself as a comprehensive toolkit for producers working in orchestral, cinematic, and modern electronic idioms. Developed by Manuel Schleis and Andy Hinz, this pack provides 133 professionally crafted presets that leverage Avenger's hybrid synthesis engine to blur the line between granular processing and traditional oscillator-based sound design.
The core strength lies in its approach to texture generation. Rather than relying solely on sampled instruments, the expansion employs 170 granular loops and 40 multisamples as raw material for real-time synthesis manipulation. This yields convincing orchestral timbres alongside more abstract soundscapes - from punchy risers and dynamic drones to shimmering spectral textures that respond naturally to modulation. The 30 included drumkits and 140 arp patterns enable cohesive production workflows without switching contexts.

Technically, the expansion adds 22 new oscillator shapes and 7 wavetables alongside its sample library, expanding Avenger's already considerable sonic palette. The 5 multiloops function as sequenced grooves that users can manipulate through Avenger's modulation matrix, lending the pack utility beyond its cinematic positioning.
This expansion appeals primarily to film composers, game audio designers, and electronic producers seeking orchestral synthesis without sample-based limitations. The inclusion of trance and EDM-oriented presets acknowledges broader applicability, though cinematic and atmospheric work remains its natural habitat. Among expansion packs for modern wavetable synthesizers, Cinematic Loops stands out for prioritizing deep sound design flexibility over preset quantity, delivering tools rather than mere snapshots.
