About this plugin
UVI's Orchestral Suite stands as a comprehensive virtual instrument collection designed for composers and producers seeking genuine orchestral sonics without the complexity of managing dozens of separate plugins. The package delivers over 60 instruments spanning strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion, choir, and supplementary voices like cathedral organ, harpsichord, and classical guitar.
The sonic character reflects meticulous recording methodology. Sessions were conducted globally with accomplished session players, capturing multiple articulations and playing styles across a wide dynamic range. The resulting samples exhibit natural decay characteristics and tonal color that avoids the sterility common in earlier sample libraries. The convolution reverb engine, integrated instrument-wide, grounds performances within believable acoustic spaces rather than applying generic spatial processing.

Operationally, Orchestral Suite prioritizes workflow efficiency through instrument-specific interfaces and key-switch systems enabling real-time articulation changes. This design philosophy acknowledges that orchestral writing demands fluid transitions between playing techniques, and the implementation here facilitates that necessity without menu diving.
Best suited for film composers, game audio developers, and producers requiring orchestral components without committing to professional sample libraries like Spitfire or EastWest Hollywood, Orchestral Suite occupies a pragmatic middle ground. It delivers sufficient sonic authenticity and playability for mid-budget productions while remaining accessible to those without orchestration expertise.
The plugin's strength lies not in replacing purpose-built string or brass libraries, but in providing a unified, coherent orchestral voice suitable for mockups, hybrid scoring, and projects where sonic consistency across sections matters more than specialized articulation depth.
