About this plugin
Usynth DRIVE is a virtual synthesizer designed specifically for house and high-energy electronic music production. Available as a loyalty upgrade for existing UJAM customers, it strips away the complexity typically associated with modern soft synths while retaining substantial synthesis capabilities underneath an approachable interface.
The engine combines four synthesis methods - Virtual Analog, Wavetable, FM, and Multisample - across two layers per voice, each with independent 5-stage envelopes and LFOs. A multi-mode filter and 12-way modulation matrix provide the harmonic shaping and movement necessary for punchy, evolving synth sounds. Despite these technical resources, DRIVE prioritizes intuitive parameter control rather than deep menu diving, making it accessible to producers more interested in rapid sound design than synthesis theory.

The sonic character leans toward aggressive, driving textures suitable for progressive house, techno, and peak-time dance music. The preset library evidently emphasizes penetrating basses, bright leads, and rhythmically interesting pads that sit forward in dense mixes. This positioning distinguishes it from other UJAM Usynth variants that cater to different genres.
For experienced producers, DRIVE functions as a capable workhorse rather than a creative centerpiece. Its strength lies in reliable, genre-appropriate sound generation without the learning curve of traditional synthesis interfaces. The loyalty pricing structure makes it an economical addition to existing UJAM collections, particularly for those seeking dedicated house tools alongside generalist instruments.
The included UJAM App manages authorization and updates across your plugin library, reducing administrative overhead. DRIVE arrives fully functional with no feature limitations or trial restrictions.
