About this plugin
Synthetic Soundtracks 2 is a comprehensive loop and sample library tailored for science fiction and epic film scoring, delivered through Ueberschall's Elastik plugin platform. The collection spans 4.3GB across ten construction kits, each containing four to five discrete musical sections drawn from a pool exceeding 1000 individual loops and samples.
The sonic palette centers on analog-style synthesizers configured as leads, pads, arpeggios, and bass elements, supplemented by organ and electric piano textures. Drum programming combines both electronic and acoustic sources, including processed kicks, sub-kicks, snares, cymbals, and percussion elements. Additional design resources include impacts, ambient textures, lifters, and risers suitable for dynamic scene transitions. Many loops are provided in both processed and raw formats, enabling deeper customization within DAWs.

Elastik's core strength lies in its ReTune algorithm, which allows independent key and scale adjustment of tonal material without time-stretching artifacts. This proves essential for producers working across multiple loop libraries simultaneously, as all included samples carry explicit tempo and key metadata. Original tempos range from 60 to 96 BPM, though Elastik's tempo-matching engine provides substantial flexibility beyond these baselines.
The library's inspirational reference points span canonical science fiction cinema from The Terminator through Blade Runner 2049, resulting in a cohesive sonic narrative rather than generic sci-fi pastiche. This focus makes Synthetic Soundtracks 2 particularly suited to soundtrack composers, electronic composers requiring thematic source material, and producers seeking production-ready frameworks for conceptual work. Among comparable offerings, the emphasis on modular construction kits rather than finished loops distinguishes it as a tool for active composition rather than quick placement.
