About this plugin
PopUp! by Ueberschall is a construction kit library engineered for dance and electronic music production, delivered within the Elastik 3 sampler framework. The package contains ten pre-built kits recorded at 118-128 BPM, spanning nearly 600 loops and samples across 3GB of material. Each kit comprises three distinct musical sections with modular individual loops covering synths, electric guitar, bass synths, pianos, strings, pads, and both electronic and acoustic drums.
The sonic character leans toward contemporary dance music with deliberate disco inflection - infectious groove templates that sit comfortably in modern club and pop contexts without feeling dated. The library's strength lies in its granular approach to drum construction: alongside pre-mixed drum loops, separate kick, snare, hi-hat, and cymbal tracks allow precise drum mix customization. Single-shot samples and reverse cymbal hits provide additional tactical options for building tension and rhythmic variation.

Elastik 3's implementation here proves practical for the intended workflow. Metadata tagging for key and tempo enables rapid kit selection and cross-kit loop mixing via the ReTune algorithm, which handles pitch shifting and scale correction without audible artifacts. This flexibility matters when combining elements across different kits to achieve hybrid arrangements.
PopUp! targets songwriters, producers, and composers seeking accelerated turnaround on feel-good dance material for advertising, film, and live performance. It functions best as a starting point rather than a finished production tool - the framework expects meaningful creative contribution through vocal performances, lead instrumentation, and mixing refinement. For producers comfortable working within construction kit paradigms and seeking reliable, genre-specific groove foundations, PopUp! delivers practical utility and genuine sonic cohesion.
