About this plugin
Funk Up represents Ueberschall's comprehensive approach to authentic funk production, delivering 20 construction kits totaling 10GB of meticulously sampled material rooted in the Parliament-Funkadelic lineage. The plugin stands apart from generic loop libraries through its granular approach to drum deconstruction, offering full stereo mixes alongside isolated tracks for kick, snare, claps, hi-hat, room ambience, overheads, toms, and cymbals. This architecture allows producers to work efficiently with pre-mixed grooves or undertake detailed remix work with surgical precision.
The bass and guitar components arrive in both direct and amplified iterations, respecting the re-amping workflow preferences of serious engineers. Rather than forcing a single sonic aesthetic, this dual-source approach acknowledges that contemporary production demands flexibility across vintage and modern contexts. Each kit contains between 5 and 10 musical parts - intros, outros, and verse/chorus variations - providing genuine structural scaffolding for composition rather than mere rhythmic padding.

Integration with Elastik's front-end proves immediately practical. Tempo and pitch alignment occur transparently, eliminating the time-consuming warping typically required when working across multiple source materials. The plugin performs equally well for producers chasing authentic 70s funk texture or those seeking vintage-inflected grooves for contemporary pop and hip-hop contexts.
Funk Up suits producers who value source material integrity and compositional flexibility over algorithmic manipulation. It functions best as a foundational toolkit rather than a quick-fix solution, rewarding users who understand arrangement and orchestration fundamentals. For those building funk-adjacent projects demanding authentic instrumentation, the library provides genuine utility alongside sonic credibility.
