Funk Bass from Ueberschall is a sample library containing nearly 500 loops and phrases designed to address a fundamental production need: authentic, professionally performed bass grooves across multiple playing styles. The 1.1 GB collection spans four primary techniques - fingered, slap, plectrum, and legato - each subdivided into thematically organized folders that facilitate rapid prototyping and variation development.

The recordings themselves merit attention. Two instruments provide the sonic palette: a 1970 Musicman Stingray handles the majority of performances, while a Fender Jazz Bass covers fingered and plectrum variations. This dual-bass approach yields tonal diversity without sacrificing coherence. All material was captured at tempos between 90 and 126 BPM, with individual phrases sized at four bars or up to ten seconds, allowing straightforward integration into standard production workflows.

Organizationally, the library excels at facilitating creative combinations.
