About this plugin
Ueberschall's 70s Rock Riffs delivers an extensive, meticulously organized collection of period-authentic rock guitar loops designed for producers working across heavy blues, classic rock, and proto-metal styles. The library contains over 2 GB of material organized into 25 musical kits, each spanning 80 to 180 BPM and providing both main riffs and dedicated outros. The 965 individual loops capture the tonal characteristics of analog-era recording techniques and tube amplification, essential for projects requiring genuine 70s authenticity rather than modern reinterpretation.
The technical implementation offers considerable flexibility. Each kit includes three guitar performances - two doubled versions of the main riff plus a complementary lead guitar line. All guitar tracks are available as both amp and DI versions, with a pre-mixed stereo composite option for rapid integration. Bass and drum support material is equally comprehensive, featuring amp and DI bass versions alongside extensively separated drum tracks including kick, snare top/bottom/trigger, hi-hat, ride, toms, overheads, and room microphones. This separation enables detailed mix control and layering possibilities.

The Elastik platform's tempo and pitch manipulation features address the common challenge of key and tempo mismatches between loops, making it practical to combine material across the library's varied tempos and keys. This collection serves producers and composers seeking authentic 70s textures without extensive session musician or vintage equipment requirements. The dual amp/DI architecture provides mix-stage flexibility that recorded loops typically lack, making this suitable for both straightforward loop placement and more sculptural production approaches demanding tonal modification.
