About this plugin
Ueberschall's 50s Jazz Guitar Trio captures the essential character of classic small-group jazz through 531 meticulously recorded loops and phrases organized into five construction kits spanning nearly 2GB of material. The library documents authentic period tonality: warm, slightly compressed acoustic and electric guitars leading stripped-down rhythm sections anchored by electric bass and acoustic drums. Original tempos range from 120 to 160 BPM across 4/4, 5/4, and 3/4 time signatures, all demonstrating genuine swing feel rather than metronomic precision.
The technical implementation emphasizes mix flexibility. Each kit deconstructs into multiple performance layers - acoustic and electric guitar rhythms, lead lines, and bass phrases all exist in both mic and line recordings. Drum elements come separated by source: kick, snare top and bottom, hihat, tom, ride, overhead, and room channels. This granular approach allows producers to either assemble full arrangements quickly or surgically rebuild individual elements to match specific project requirements.

Integration within Elastik 3's ecosystem provides practical advantages. Real-time tempo adjustment and ReTune functionality mean individual loops adapt without losing their intimate, human character. The inherent compression and slight saturation of the original recordings sits naturally in modern mixes without requiring heavy processing.
50s Jazz Guitar Trio serves producers working in jazz fusion, film scoring, advertising, and sample-based composition who need authentic small-group texture without multi-day recording sessions. It occupies space between generic jazz loops and rigid sample packs, offering genuine musicianship with production-ready flexibility. The library maintains period-appropriate warmth while remaining sonically compatible with contemporary production workflows.
