About this plugin
Cubase Pro 15 represents a significant step up from the AI version, offering the complete professional production environment that has become the industry standard for compositional work, mixing, and mastering. This upgrade path targets existing users ready to access the full feature set without paying full retail price.
The core appeal lies in Pro's expanded capabilities: unlimited MIDI and audio tracks, advanced surround mixing up to 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos, and the complete Nuendo-derived mastering toolset. The MixConsole gains significant depth with full Channel Strip customization, comprehensive routing matrices, and automation that rivals dedicated mixing consoles. For engineers working on complex arrangements or film scores, the difference between AI's limitations and Pro's flexibility becomes immediately apparent.

Pro 15 particularly excels for those who've outgrown AI's track limitations and require serious mixing power. The VariAudio 3 pitch correction tools, audio warping capabilities, and VST 3 support remain consistent with the AI version, but Pro unlocks the advanced editing tools and scriptable workflow automation that professional studios demand. The included sound library scales appropriately, providing substantially more instruments and effects suited to professional production.
This upgrade makes sense for producers already committed to Cubase's workflow who've hit feature ceilings in AI. While the step up requires investment, the cost differential from buying Pro outright is substantial, making this an efficient path for those with existing Cubase experience. For mixing engineers and composers, this represents genuine professional capabilities at a reasonable price point.
