About this plugin
Voices of Wind Collection stands as Soundiron's most comprehensive female vocal ensemble library, consolidating six distinct vocalists into a unified Kontakt instrument designed for composers and producers seeking nuanced, performance-ready vocal textures. The library distinguishes itself through both breadth and depth: 20,000+ samples deliver chromatic articulations across six core vowels (Ah, Eh, Ee, Mm, Oh, Oo) with true legato, 8x round-robin staccatos, and sustain variations spanning two playable octaves. This technical foundation supports genuine musical expression rather than mere note-triggering.
The real strength emerges in the melodic phrase content. Over 7,000 live vocal phrases, organized by tempo (100bpm, 140bpm, and 120bpm hummed passages), bright or dark character, and key compatibility, provide immediate compositional building blocks without sacrificing authenticity. The two newly added vocalists, Juliana and Phoebe, extend the tonal palette beyond the existing four core singers, while 20 custom ambience presets add atmospheric depth for underscore and cinematic applications.

The interface handles practical production concerns well. Tempo-syncing functionality and key-locking mechanisms integrate seamlessly into contemporary workflows, while the stacked ensemble sustains and legato options enable layered vocal arrangements without manual manipulation. For orchestral composers, film and television scorers, and producers working in hybrid acoustic-electronic contexts, this collection addresses a genuine technical gap - professional vocal content that balances flexibility with sonic credibility. Compared to its single-vocalist predecessors, the ensemble approach justifies the expanded footprint while maintaining Soundiron's established quality standards in sample capture and instrument design.
