About this plugin
Voice of Gaia: Strawberry represents a thoughtfully constructed vocal library centered on mezzo-soprano Linda Strawberry Coloma, whose distinctive voice carries the emotional intensity associated with her prior work in alternative rock and experimental music. At 5.4 GB, the library prioritizes depth over breadth, offering extensively sampled legato sustains alongside complementary vowel articulations and a substantial bank of melodic micro phrases.
The legato engine employs true sample-based sustains using Soundiron's long-form solo methodology, delivering natural transitions and release characteristics with support for polyphonic layering up to three voices. This technical foundation proves essential for vocal lines requiring genuine legato phrasing rather than interpolated approximations. Beyond sustains, the library includes staccato vowels in Ah, Mm, Oh, and Oo across dynamic variations, with real-time vowel switching capabilities for compositional flexibility.

The phrase content merits particular attention. Thousands of improvised melodic fragments anchor to four standard tempos between 80 and 140 BPM, with automatic real-time tempo synching and time-stretching modes enabling seamless integration into various session tempos. Phrases exist across six primary root keys plus bonus content, with transposition controls for further harmonic manipulation.
Coloma's voice itself carries a dark, passionate quality that cuts through dense arrangements without requiring aggressive processing. This sonic character suits cinematic scoring, electronic production, and genre work demanding emotional authenticity rather than technical perfection. The library occupies a distinct position within professional vocal libraries - neither a comprehensive chromatic soprano nor a specialty character voice, but rather a fully realized solo instrument from a recognized artist with proven expressive capability.
