About this plugin
Voice of Gaia: Bryn stands as a comprehensive vocal library that captures Bryan Lane's distinctive tenor across an extensive palette of phonetic content and melodic phrases. Recorded through premium Neumann microphones and Sound Devices preamps in a controlled studio environment, the library preserves remarkable vocal detail across its 7,816 samples.
The core chromatic sustain collection spans D2 to D4 (extended to C2 - G4) and includes true legato vowel transitions for Ah, Oo, Humming, and Whistling, alongside Oh sustains with classic chromatic articulation and an Uh vowel featuring gliding-attack vibrato. Staccato articulations round out the sustain content with comparable vowel coverage. This foundation provides the technical flexibility necessary for precise pitch placement and natural legato passages.

What distinguishes Bryn is the extensive melodic phrase library, recorded across three stylistic domains: pure vowel, Middle-Eastern, and American Southern gospel traditions. Each phrase category includes full chromatic coverage across A through G# in multiple keys, with dedicated whistling phrases and improvisational Arabian chants in E/B tonalities. Individual phrase presets offer pitch transposition, tempo-synching, step sequencing, and song switching capabilities.
The included FX Rack provides genuine utility rather than superficial processing, featuring compression, EQ, amp simulation, and convolution reverb with custom-recorded impulse responses spanning rooms, halls, and cathedrals. For producers seeking authentic vocal character beyond conventional belting libraries, or composers working with non-Western vocal aesthetics, Bryn delivers substantive tonal complexity and stylistic range that rewards detailed programming.
