Lamellophones represents a comprehensive collection of 17 custom percussion and plucked instruments designed by Bart Hopkin, a prolific acoustic instrument builder whose work has defined experimental organology for nearly five decades. Soundiron's Kontakt library captures these instruments across multiple microphone positions and presents them through a straightforward four-layer interface with considerable sonic flexibility.

These are primarily struck and plucked idiophone instruments - various tines, boxes, and resonant structures fabricated from wood and steel - each with distinct harmonic characteristics that bridge the gap between percussion and melodic instruments.
