About this plugin
Soundiron's Cyborg Bytes delivers a focused collection of electro-percussive textures and ambient drones tailored for designers working in electronic and experimental contexts. Built on 210 PCM samples totaling 461 MB, the library emphasizes digital synthesis artifacts and heavily processed percussion rather than traditional drum sources, positioning it squarely in the sound design space rather than mainstream production.
The Kontakt interface provides substantive modulation architecture. An LFO system with tempo-syncing capability, selectable waveforms, and fade-in control integrates with a 12-filter set spanning lowpass, highpass, and effect variants. Velocity, modwheel, expression, aftertouch, and key position routing give experienced users genuine real-time control. The arpeggiator includes swing, randomization, and direction options, while a scale-locking system constrains melodic content to selected keys - practical for live performance or rapid iteration.

The 27-module effects rack represents the deepest creative layer, enabling signal processing chains that can substantially transform source material. Combined with adjustable attack, release, vibrato, and articulation switching, the platform supports extensive sound mangling beyond its sample content.
Cyborg Bytes suits producers developing soundtrack work, ambient composition, or IDM-adjacent production where unconventional percussion serves narrative function. Its synthetic, distinctly "digital" character limits utility for organic or acoustic-leaning projects. At its price point and footprint, it functions effectively as a supplementary color palette rather than a comprehensive percussion solution. The implementation demonstrates competent engineering, though experienced sound designers will recognize this as a specialized, niche tool rather than an essential workhorse library.
