About this plugin
Elysium Harp stands as a comprehensively sampled representation of a Lyon & Healy concert pedal harp, capturing 12,147 samples across 30GB of raw content and compressing them into 14.7GB via Native Instruments' lossless .ncw format. The library prioritizes depth over breadth, with eight round-robin variations per dynamic layer across multiple articulation types: finger pad and nail plucks with extended sustain, soft and hard harmonics, xylophonic timbres, and bass string pedal buzzes. The inclusion of 194 naturally performed glissandi across 19 scales and tuning systems, recorded by harpist Jennifer Ellis, distinguishes this tool from sample libraries relying on algorithmic interpolation.
The interface design reflects practical studio workflow, offering three discrete microphone positions (sound board, rear ports, and room) with independent mixing and routing. This architecture allows users to shape both proximity and spatial character without excessive processing. The real-time glissando and arpeggiator sequencers function as performance tools rather than mere conveniences, supporting both traditional harp technique emulation and contemporary sound design applications.

Sonically, the library emphasizes the instrument's warm, resonant character across its full range rather than pursuing novelty articulations. The bundled pads, ambiences, and effects presets derive from the source recordings themselves, maintaining tonal coherence in processed variations.
Elysium Harp suits composers seeking orchestral authenticity, sound designers requiring nuanced harmonic material, and producers building atmospheric beds. Its reliance on genuine performance data over synthesis makes it particularly valuable for scoring contexts where tonal authenticity matters. Kontakt 5.5.2 compatibility ensures broad accessibility across established production environments.
