Clack is a comprehensive wooden percussion instrument library built on Kontakt's sampling engine. Soundiron recorded an extensive collection of acoustic sources including bamboo poles, logs, claves, woodblocks, and various striking implements, capturing each with 10 round-robin variations across an average of 6 velocity layers. The sampling was executed close-miked in a medium-sized hardwood and masonry studio with minimal processing, preserving the natural resonance and attack characteristics essential to percussive material.

The interface organizes these 2,896 samples into a four-layer modular template, allowing real-time blending and layering of disparate percussion sources. The control set includes standard parameters like filter, LFO, and glide alongside an arpeggiator for rhythmic manipulation. A full effects rack provides convolution reverb with custom acoustic spaces, enabling users to expand the dry, focused character of the original recordings into more atmospheric territory.

Beyond the core percussion engine, Clack includes 20 ambient pads constructed directly from the source material, effectively transforming percussive transients into textural foundations. An additional 20 sound-designed FX presets demonstrate practical applications across film scoring, game audio, and experimental production contexts.
