About this plugin
The Sonnox Elite Collection represents a mature, purpose-built toolkit for professional mixing and mastering. Comprised of seven specialized processors, it draws directly from the circuitry and algorithms of the Sony OXF-R3 large format console, translating decades of broadcast and mastering facility experience into plugin form.
The Oxford EQ serves as the collection's foundation - a five-band parametric equalizer with variable high and low pass filters capable of 36dB per octave slopes. Its four selectable EQ curves provide sonic flexibility across different mixing scenarios, from transparent surgical work to colored, character-driven processing. The Oxford Dynamics module offers comprehensive dynamic control through separate compress, limit, expand, and gate functions, each with independent parameter adjustment and sidechain filtering capabilities. The Inflator adds harmonic saturation and presence enhancement, while the Transient Modulator shapes attack and decay characteristics with surgical precision.

The Oxford Reverb, Limiter, and SuprEsser complete the suite, handling spatial processing, peak management, and multiband dynamic control respectively. Rather than pursuing sonic novelty, these tools prioritize reliability and transparency. They excel in professional broadcast, mastering, and high-end production environments where consistency and minimal coloration are paramount.
The collection's strength lies in its depth of control and sonic coherence - each processor integrates seamlessly with the others. This makes it particularly valuable for engineers who prefer methodical, parameter-rich workflows over preset-dependent solutions. The 40 percent savings versus individual purchase pricing reflects their established market position among working professionals who view these tools as essential infrastructure rather than experimental effects.
