About this plugin
Weiss Complete Collection 3 represents a significant upgrade path for Exciter owners, consolidating Weiss Engineering's most essential mastering tools into a single, cost-effective package. The collection comprises eight plugins: Exciter, DS1-MK3 (single-channel dynamics), DS5 (five-band dynamics), MM-1 (mix maximizer), Compressor/Limiter, Deess, EQ1, and the Gambit Series channel strip for Console 1 integration.
Developed through direct collaboration with Daniel Weiss and his engineering team since 2015, these plugins authentically model the sonic character of Weiss's hardware mastering chain. The emphasis falls on transparent, surgical control rather than colorization. The DS1-MK3 and DS5 provide multiband dynamics processing with the precision expected from Weiss's legacy; the Deess handles sibilance with clinical accuracy; the EQ1 offers transparent equalization across the frequency spectrum. The Compressor/Limiter delivers the aggressive yet musical compression Weiss is known for, while MM-1 maximizes headroom intelligently without sacrificing dynamics.

This collection is best suited for mastering engineers, critical mix engineers, and producers working at professional standards who need vetted, industry-standard tools. Weiss equipment has defined the sound of major label mastering for decades, and these emulations maintain that standard. While the individual plugins can serve mixing duties, their real strength emerges in mastering contexts where transparency and surgical precision matter most. For Exciter owners, the upgrade justifies itself through access to complete mastering-grade dynamics and EQ processing at a fraction of separate purchase costs.
