About this plugin
Softube's Core Mixing Suite represents a thoughtfully consolidated approach to channel processing, built expressly for Console 1 hardware users seeking a cohesive mixing environment. Rather than presenting isolated modules, the suite integrates five core processing stages - tape saturation, filter, shaper, equalizer, and compressor - derived from Softube's established plugin portfolio, including their FET Compressor Mk II, Bus Processor, and Tape emulations.
The sonic foundation rests on component modeling of professional-grade hardware, informed by Softube's established partnerships with Tube-Tech, SSL, Chandler Limited, and Weiss Engineering. This heritage translates to a channel strip capable of delivering transparent surgical control or colorful saturation depending on application. The tape stage contributes musically useful harmonic richness without aggressive coloration, while the compressor and shaper sections provide dynamic control ranging from subtle glue to aggressive shaping.

Core Mixing Suite functions as a complete mixing toolkit for engineers working within the Console 1 ecosystem who want comprehensive processing without menu diving or plugin chains. It's particularly suited for mix engineers accustomed to SSL-style workflows or those seeking a unified sonic character across multiple channels. The integrated design encourages decisive, intentional mixing rather than endless tweaking.
This is a purpose-built solution rather than a universal channel strip. Console 1 ownership is non-negotiable, limiting its appeal to those already invested in Softube's hardware-software integration paradigm. For that audience, however, it delivers genuine operational efficiency and a genuinely cohesive sound derived from proven, award-winning modeling work.
