Rather than a conventional sampler or modeling tool, RG functions as a groove engine built around a chord-triggered sequencer architecture. Strike a single key within its major or minor keyboard layout, and a pre-programmed rhythmic pattern executes automatically, with each chord pairing offering two distinct sequence variations.

The plugin ships with five guitar archetypes covering practical production scenarios: Fender Stratocaster electric (major and minor7), two steel string acoustic variants offering 8th and 16th note subdivisions, a power chord distorted guitar, and muted articulation options. The sample library emphasizes clean, uncolored recordings that respond predictably to downstream processing rather than imposing a fixed sonic character.

The synthesis section employs a conventional analog-style signal path: resonant filter, dual-envelope generators, and LFO modulation, allowing meaningful tonal shaping beyond the base samples. The effects stage accommodates three concurrent processors selected from a practical toolkit including MIDI-tempo-synced delays, chorus, speaker simulation, phaser, and flanger. This enables context-appropriate texturing without requiring external processing.

RG's target user is the producer working with MIDI who needs competent, customizable accompaniment tracks without investing time in programming complex note sequences or hiring session musicians.
