About this plugin
PSP EasyVerb v.2 is a versatile algorithmic reverberator that balances accessibility with genuine sonic sophistication. The plugin ships with ten core algorithms spanning practical spaces (Room, Chamber, Club) through iconic hardware emulations (Spring, Plate) to creative territories (Cathedral, Arena, Reverse). Each algorithm offers three distinct tuning variations - the Legacy mode preserves the original EasyVerb character for session compatibility, while Alt1 and Alt2 provide new tonal flavors optimized for contemporary mixing contexts.
The architecture centers on three primary controls: Decay governs reverb tail length and spatial perception, Damp sculpts high-frequency behavior to simulate acoustically darker or brighter environments, and Predelay separates the direct signal from early reflections. Three size options (Small, Medium, Large) scale the spatial dimensions proportionally, with Medium matching the version 1 default for seamless project migration.

Beyond these fundamentals, a 3-band semi-parametric EQ provides essential frequency shaping, allowing producers to integrate the reverb naturally into mixed material without resorting to parallel processing chains.
PSP EasyVerb suits producers seeking reliable, musical reverb without deep menu diving. The combination of algorithmic variety and practical controls makes it equally useful for mixing and sound design. While specialized tools excel at niche applications - convolver impulses for vintage accuracy or creative algorithmic territories - this plugin occupies the pragmatic center ground where most professional work happens. The refresh cycle demonstrates genuine development rather than iteration, making version 2 a legitimate improvement for both new users and existing customers.
