About this plugin
Tech House Production with Loopcloud Part 1 is a comprehensive foundational course from Producertech that addresses a genuine gap in music production education. Rather than treating sample curation as an afterthought, this tutorial series positions intelligent sample selection and arrangement as core production skills. The course centers on Loopcloud's cloud-based library system, which streamlines the process of identifying genre-appropriate drum one-shots and melodic elements through its curated browsing interface.
The pedagogical approach emphasizes practical workflow integration. Students learn to configure Loopcloud within their DAW, then progress through sample discovery, sequencing fundamentals using Loopcloud's built-in player, and multi-track composition techniques. The progression from isolated one-shot selection to completed 8-bar grooves demonstrates how foundational techniques compound into finished sections. The inclusion of provided session files allows learners to deconstruct professional examples while following along in real time.

While the course uses Ableton Live as its primary platform, the underlying concepts remain universally applicable across modern DAWs. This cross-platform relevance enhances the course's utility beyond its immediate scope. The emphasis on arrangement fundamentals - specifically intro, breakdown, and drop construction - addresses structural understanding that many beginner producers overlook.
For producers new to house music or sample-based production generally, this course provides systematic exposure to established workflow patterns. The hour-long format respects producer time constraints while delivering sufficient depth to establish competency. Access to session files and the free Loopcloud software removes financial barriers to implementation, making this course particularly valuable for those evaluating whether sample-based production aligns with their creative goals.
