About this plugin
Loopcloud has established itself as an essential tool for producers working across electronic music, hip-hop, and contemporary production workflows since its 2017 launch. This comprehensive course from Producertech's Senior Tutor Rob Jones provides systematic instruction spanning nearly seven hours of video content, designed for both newcomers and experienced producers seeking to optimize their sample-based composition.
The software functions as both standalone application and plugin, addressing a core production challenge: locating relevant sounds efficiently within vast sample libraries while maintaining workflow momentum. Loopcloud's architecture combines local library management with access to Loopmasters' commercial catalog, offering real-time search and AI-driven discovery that contextualizes sample selection within harmonic and rhythmic parameters.

This course departs from superficial feature walkthroughs, instead mapping production methodologies that leverage Loopcloud's multitrack player capabilities. Early modules establish fundamental searching and single-track workflow before advancing into pattern editing and template construction. The instruction acknowledges Loopcloud's technical positioning as a composition accelerator rather than a creative limitation, demonstrating how template-based approaches facilitate rapid prototyping of genre-specific arrangements.
The bonus preset library and bass-focused pattern set provide immediately usable assets, though their primary value lies in illustrating the underlying design principles applicable to varied musical contexts. This course suits producers transitioning from traditional sample arrangement methods to loop-based workflows, particularly those requiring faster iteration without sacrificing intentional sound selection. For experienced users, the pattern editing and template construction modules offer actionable strategies for systematizing creative processes across multiple projects.
