About this plugin
The NEOLD Bundle represents a comprehensive collection of seven vintage-modeled processors designed to address the specific sonic characteristics of classic analog hardware. Rather than pursuing transparent emulation, these plugins prioritize tonal coloration and the particular distortion artifacts that define their inspirations.
The OLDTIMER delay stands as the collection's centerpiece, offering dual-topology modeling that blends bucket brigade and digital delay architectures. This hybrid approach yields results distinguishable from either topology alone, creating delay textures with both analog warmth and digital clarity. The topology crossfade allows real-time morphing between character types rather than forced selection.

Complementing the delay section, the saturation and compression tools address the harmonic and dynamic coloration essential to vintage mixing chains. The U2A optical compressor and V76U73 variable-mu dynamics processor target different compression profiles, while BIG AL and WUNDERLICH handle saturation needs across tonal palettes. The WARBLE modulation processor adds tape-based character and flutter to sources requiring textural embellishment.
The bundle's strength lies in its component-level modeling approach. Rather than approximating the sonic output, NEOLD has focused on reproducing capacitor behaviors and signal path architectures that contribute to each device's signature sound. This technical foundation produces results that respond authentically to signal intensity and frequency content.
The NEOLD Bundle suits mixing engineers and producers prioritizing vintage character over clinical precision. It functions most effectively as a curated toolkit rather than a universal solution, requiring intentional selection based on specific tonal objectives. For hybrid workflows combining modern recording with analog aesthetics, this collection provides genuine alternatives to hardware units at considerably lower cost.
