About this plugin
Output's REV represents a thoughtful departure from conventional reverse processing. Rather than merely inverting audio playback, REV constructs an entire instrument ecosystem around reverse-based sound design, delivering over 14GB of meticulously engineered content across four specialized engines. The bundle combines the core REV plugin with REV X-Loops, extending creative possibilities through expanded loop libraries and advanced time manipulation.
The architecture prioritizes workflow efficiency through tempo-locked playback across all engines. Synthesized instruments, organic pads, and live-recorded loops integrate seamlessly with rises and stutter effects, allowing producers to build dynamic transitions and textural foundations without manual time-stretching. The stutter engine proves particularly useful, enabling pitch and amplitude modulation that can be synchronized to tempo or manipulated freely, giving sound designers granular control over rhythmic articulation.

REV's strength lies in electronic, cinematic, and experimental music production. The 1000+ presets function as legitimate starting points rather than mere examples, and the rise engine addresses a genuine production need in trailer scoring and progressive electronic work. Built-in filters, distortion, saturation, and reverb processing allow significant customization without external plugins.
The bundle's value emerges in specialized applications rather than everyday mixing. For producers working within genres that demand distinctive, engineered textures - EDM, film scoring, ambient, or experimental work - REV provides tools that would otherwise require extensive sample curation and creative processing. The preset ecosystem fosters community sharing, adding value through collaborative sound design. While not essential for traditional recording, REV fills a specific creative niche with genuine sophistication.
