About this plugin
House Arrest Wav Pack by Niche Audio represents a focused collection of processed drum and percussion samples designed for contemporary house and electronic music production. Rather than offering a conventional effects processor, this resource provides pre-processed audio snapshots that document specific signal chain treatments and sonic destinations, allowing producers to study and repurpose professional mixing decisions embedded within workable samples.
The pack's utility derives from its documentation of compression, saturation, and spatial processing applied to foundational house elements. Kick drums, hi-hats, cymbals, and percussion loops emerge with defined transient control and harmonic enhancement characteristic of commercial house productions. The samples demonstrate restraint in processing - avoiding the extreme character assassination common to over-marketed drum packs - which makes them genuinely useful for layering and resampling rather than direct placement.

House Arrest functions most effectively for producers seeking production reference material or looking to expedite drum arrangement in early-stage composition. The pack's value extends to engineers examining how professional mixes handle frequency balance and dynamic control within the house idiom. Experienced users will recognize these not as finished drum kits but as processed source material worthy of further manipulation and context-specific adaptation.
Within the crowded landscape of house sample libraries, House Arrest occupies practical middle ground. It avoids both the extreme processing of trendy preset packs and the uncolored rawness of sample archives. For producers already conversant with mixing fundamentals, this collection offers legitimate reference material and reliable foundational sounds without imposing aesthetic constraints on finished work.
