About this plugin
Niche Audio's DNB Evolution arrives as a specialized production toolkit designed specifically for drum and bass composition within Maschine 2 and Ableton Live. Rather than presenting pre-mixed kits, this Creator Series entry takes a methodical approach by organizing 320 individual sounds across 20 instrument-focused banks, allowing producers to construct tracks from raw material rather than predetermined templates.
The pack's architecture reflects genuine production workflow. Drum kits emphasize punchy, contemporary characterization alongside deeper, more atmospheric textures. Bass sounds range from aggressive sub-focused elements to smoother, jazz-influenced tonal material. Synth pads and smooth synth banks provide harmonic foundation and atmospheric depth, rounded out by supplementary percussion and FX sounds. Each kit contains 16 sounds arranged in the standard 16-pad format for immediate access within both DAWs.

Sonically, the collection draws from quality analog and digital sources, presenting itself as authentically rooted in drum and bass tradition while maintaining contemporary production standards. The sounds exhibit clear processing and professional character without excessive manipulation that might limit customization.
This toolkit suits producers working across the drum and bass spectrum, from those assembling complete tracks to engineers seeking specialized bass or percussion options. The modular approach accommodates both scratch producers and those with established workflows, offering enough sonic variety to serve as primary source material without constraining creative direction.
DNB Evolution represents Niche Audio's attempt to bridge specialized sound curation with production flexibility, positioning itself as foundational toolkit rather than effects processor.
