About this plugin
Niche Audio's Bass House & Garage pack represents a focused toolkit for producers working within the contemporary UK garage and bass house aesthetic. Rather than functioning as a traditional effects plugin, this collection delivers 15 production-ready drum kits optimized for Maschine and Ableton Live, each constructed around the sonic signatures of artists like Gorgon City, Low Steppa, and Shadow Child.
The pack's technical foundation centers on Native Instruments Massive synths for bass synthesis, with Maschine users receiving complete kit configurations and Ableton Live users getting corresponding MIDI patterns plus converted audio loops. This dual approach ensures workflow compatibility across platforms without forcing compromise on sound design. The inclusion of 16 dedicated Massive presets extends usability beyond the included grooves, allowing integration into broader production contexts.

What distinguishes this collection is its specificity. The 13 track-ready grooves establish clear sonic parameters for the genre - punchy, sidechain-compressed drums layered with filtered sub-bass and crisp hi-hat programming. The supplementary kits provide essential textural elements: stabs, sweeps, and bass effects that ground productions in authentic UK house vocabulary. The 49 Simpler presets and 273 samples offer granular access to individual components, though producers should expect these work best as foundation material rather than standalone elements.
This pack suits producers seeking accelerated entry into bass house production or those needing reliable reference material for existing projects. It functions most effectively as a starting point for customization rather than a finished sound library.
