About this plugin
Choir: Omnia Essentials represents a refined approach to virtual choir sampling, distilling Strezov Sampling's full Omnia library into a focused toolkit centered on four independent vocal sections: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. The plugin draws from 40 professionally recorded vocalists, delivering the polished ensemble sound expected from this developer's orchestral sampling work.
The core technical strength lies in the Polyphonic True Legato implementation, which handles voice leading automatically as you play melodies and harmonies. This scripting layer tracks your input and manages transitions between notes, reducing the manual legato switching typical of earlier choir libraries. The expression palette includes sustain, marcato, staccato, and staccatissimo articulations, providing reasonable textural variety for most scoring contexts.

The Syllabuilder engine addresses a persistent challenge in choir sampling: generating natural vocal lines beyond pre-recorded phrases. By assembling phonemes into custom syllables with multiple round-robins available per sound, you can construct articulate vocal lines with functional flexibility. The randomization feature adds a practical workflow tool for discovering new combinations when inspiration stalls.
Kontrol keyboard integration brings expected conveniences - Light Guide for key range display, keyswitches for real-time syllable changes, and mod wheel control for expression shaping. The streamlined Essentials version positions itself between full orchestral libraries and specialized vocal tools, targeting composers working in cinematic, electronic, and hybrid genres who need accessible choir textures without the complexity of managing extensive articulation matrices.
