About this plugin
FLTRS represents a significant advancement in filter modeling technology, introducing MNTRA Instruments' proprietary Anima Circuits engine to the plugin market. The tool delivers 37 distinct filter topologies sourced from classic analog synthesizers and experimental signal processors, each modeled with component-level accuracy that captures nonlinear behavior across the entire frequency spectrum.
The plugin distinguishes itself through genuine physics-based emulation rather than static digital approximations. By modeling individual resistors, capacitors, and transistors, FLTRS maintains sonic integrity when pushed into saturation or extreme sweep ranges, eliminating the aliasing artifacts and digital harshness that compromise lesser implementations. This approach yields the characterful warmth and organic response expected from vintage Moog, Buchla, and Polyvox architectures.

Operationally, FLTRS balances depth with immediacy. Each algorithm functions as a complete instrument with extensive parameter control, yet distills to three primary axes - XYZ macro controls - allowing intuitive real-time shaping without parameter overwhelm. An integrated envelope follower and AniMod modulation system enable dynamic, performance-driven sound design rather than static processing.
The plugin excels in stacked configurations. Its efficient DSP footprint permits serial chaining across multiple instances, enabling complex signal routing that mirrors modular synthesis workflows. This makes FLTRS equally effective as a surgical tone-shaping tool on individual tracks or as an architectural element in full-mix processing chains.
FLTRS serves producers, mixing engineers, and sound designers seeking authentic analog filter character without compromising CPU resources or intuitive control. It represents meaningful progress in filter plugin technology and merits consideration as a core mixing tool.
