About this plugin
Minimal Audio's Inertia is a comprehensive drum and bass sample library designed for producers seeking production-ready sounds with contemporary sonic polish. The collection contains 150 samples spanning 160 MB of 24-bit, 48kHz WAV files, organized into functional categories: 40 drum loops, 15 kicks, 15 snares, 20 hi-hats, 20 glitch effects, 20 bass loops, and 20 synth atmospheres and textures.
The library's distinguishing characteristic lies in its processing approach. Minimal Audio employed spectral and granular DSP techniques during mastering, followed by meticulous EQ work and warm saturation. This methodology prioritizes punch and clarity without sacrificing musicality - a practical consideration for dense genre productions where frequency masking remains a constant concern. The samples integrate well within existing mixes rather than demanding prominent placement or additional processing.

Inertia targets producers working within drum and bass, liquid funk, and adjacent electronic genres requiring modern sound design without extensive mangling. The kick and snare selections demonstrate technical competency in transient control and harmonic balance, while the glitch FX category provides contemporary textural elements that feel contemporary without overreliance on novelty processing.
The library occupies middle ground between genre-specific sound packs and broader electronic music collections. It serves established producers seeking rapid workflow acceleration and emerging artists building foundational knowledge of contemporary drum and bass aesthetics. The spectral processing approach appeals to engineers with technical curiosity, though straightforward sample selection remains equally viable for those prioritizing speed over exploratory sound design.
