About this plugin
ARTIFACT is a sound design toolkit that delivers processed mechanical foley with synthetic augmentation, compiled as a 210-file library spanning mechanisms, impacts, transitions, and atmospheres. The plugin's core premise centres on source recordings of machinery, metal hardware, and antiquated mechanical devices that have been extensively processed through granular and spectral DSP chains before recombination with digital elements.
The resulting palette sits distinctly in the futuristic-mechanical territory, though with considerably more nuance than typical sci-fi SFX libraries. The mechanisms and glitch elements possess genuine textural complexity; granular processing creates motion within what might otherwise be static sounds, while the risers and whooshes exhibit the kind of algorithmic unpredictability that avoids the plastic sterility of purely synthesized alternatives. The futuristic atmospheres function as tonal beds rather than dramatic swells, which proves more useful for sustained textural development.

ARTIFACT serves producers working in electronic music production, particularly those exploring industrial, techno, and experimental territories where authenticity of source material matters but conventional foley would sound inappropriate. Game audio designers benefit from the mechanism-heavy categorization and the granular character that suggests mechanical failure or transformation without requiring extensive layering. Film and television composers find utility in the whooshes and impacts, though these lean distinctly contemporary rather than naturalistic.
Against competing sample libraries, ARTIFACT's distinction lies in its deliberate hybridity. It occupies space between raw foley libraries and purely synthesized effect collections, offering producers a middle path that combines recording authenticity with electronic manipulation. The processing quality and file organization reflect professional standards, making it a credible addition to established sound design workflows rather than a novelty collection.
