About this plugin
CUBE represents a significant leap forward from its Mini counterpart, transforming Lunacy Audio's granular instrument into a genuinely professional-grade sound design tool. Where Mini provides essential functionality, the full CUBE delivers the depth required for serious production work across electronic, hip hop, and experimental domains.
The sonic character centers on sophisticated granular manipulation paired with intuitive modulation architecture. The custom orbits system - over 50 presets plus user-drawable options - controls grain envelope trajectories, enabling everything from subtle timbral drift to pronounced rhythmic artifacts. This approach proves particularly effective for crafting evolving pads, glitchy textures, and rhythmically locked percussion that maintains cohesion within dense mixes.

The upgrade's primary technical advancement lies in its modulation capabilities: four LFOs, macro controls, and a fully-patched modulation matrix provide the kind of real-time parameter control that separates functional plugins from capable design instruments. Combined with 70 additional sound sources and 380 new presets, CUBE's sonic palette becomes substantially broader - from characterful vintage synthesis emulations to contemporary processed percussion.
Sample import via drag-and-drop warrants emphasis, as this elevates CUBE beyond preset-dependent work. Loaded WAV and SFZ files integrate seamlessly with factory sounds, enabling genuinely custom sound creation rather than tonal customization of existing material.
For producers already invested in CUBE Mini seeking expanded capabilities without abandoning established workflows, this upgrade delivers measurable returns. The modulation architecture and expanded library justify consideration even for engineers accustomed to more specialized granular tools.
