About this plugin
For existing BEAM owners, this crossgrade path provides access to Lunacy's CUBE, a substantive evolution in sampler and vector synthesis technology. CUBE distinguishes itself through its vector orbit system, which enables real-time blending of up to eight sound sources across a three-dimensional interface. This approach goes beyond traditional crossfading, allowing producers to choreograph complex timbral movements through preset orbit paths or custom trajectories.
The engine itself comprises over 100 sampled sound sources spanning analog synthesis, strings, percussion, and pads, supplemented by 500 presets developed by Lunacy's sound design team. Each of the eight sample slots operates as a fully-featured sampler with independent arpeggiators, multimode filters, envelope controls, and step sequencers. This granular approach to sound manipulation supports both subtractive tweaking and algorithmic generation.

Modulation depth rivals dedicated synths, with four LFOs, macro controls, and an extensive modulation matrix enabling parameter automation across the entire signal chain. The effects section provides essential processing: distortion, reverb, delay, and additional tools suited for both subtle enhancement and aggressive texture design.
CUBE targets producers working across electronic music, hip-hop, and experimental composition who require both immediate sonic results and deep customization capability. Compared to competitors like Serum or Omnisphere, CUBE's vector blending system offers a distinct workflow advantage for evolving, morphing soundscapes. Its integration of sampling, synthesis, and modulation in a cohesive 3D environment makes it particularly valuable for sound design-forward production.
