About this plugin
Synchro Hits is a specialized sound design instrument that addresses a specific production need: delivering precisely timed impact effects with synchronized hitpoints. Rather than functioning as a traditional effects processor, it operates as a curated library of 482 destructive and synthetic sounds organized into 181 snapshots, designed primarily for trailer, game, and film work where timing is critical to impact.
The plugin's core innovation is its hitpoint detection engine, which automatically synchronizes the attack of an effect sound to upcoming bar or half-bar boundaries regardless of when you trigger it. This eliminates the manual timing adjustments that typically plague impact sound design in post-production and music composition. The implementation allows for separated control of Riser and Hit channels, each with independent filters and effect chains, enabling layered construction of complex impact events.

The sound palette reflects its recording methodology - a combination of physically destroyed sources (cars, walls, custom percussion) and digital synthesis. The resulting textures are explicitly brutal rather than polished, making Synchro Hits most valuable for designers seeking unconventional, aggressive impact character rather than mainstream trailer library aesthetics. The randomization tools and timed filter sweeps provide legitimate workflow acceleration for iterative sound design.
For post-production professionals working with strict sync requirements and composers seeking distinctive impact layers beyond standard library fare, Synchro Hits occupies a defensible position. It excels within its narrow application space - synchronized, characterful impacts - though its specialized focus means it complements rather than replaces general-purpose effect libraries. The 482-file count ensures sufficient variation for sustained production work without redundancy.
